Winter cakes

We have had some fun cakes recently and I am proud to say that my son, Joshua has turned into a great cake designer!! Here are a few pictures of his work.
A Storm Trooper helmet. A topsy turvy birthday cake and a OU stadium cake.

He has done such a great job, can't wait to see what new cakes he does this spring!

It is always exciting to be a part of a published wedding!
Our bride and groom, Ashley and James' wedding was published today in Munaluchi Bridal, here is a link to the photo. http://munaluchibridal.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/0123.jpg

We also were honored to have a cake published in the spring/summer 2014 issue of Grace Ormonde Magazine.

Halloween train cake. Not too spooky for the kids.
My interpretation of an invitation.

It has been a very busy October. In the past several years, October has proven to be almost as busy as May.
We have had the opportunity to do so may beautiful cakes. Our brides inspire and challenge us to do new techniques and we hope to rise to every challenge.

Here is a cake where the design is textured, then painted gold.

It was a busy weekend, we had many cakes for all occasions.
There was a retirement from football cake for Ovie Mughelli as well as a Christening cake for Mr&Mrs Mughelli's daughter.
I made a cereal treat Big Al, from the University of Alabama, for a groom's cake.
There were 6 wedding cakes that were delivered all across the Atlanta area  on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
This coming week we get to make an Eiffel tower wedding cake. This will be my 4th. The first one was a 6 ft tall Eiffel tower, that I made for the movie, Madea's Family Reunion.
